The county of Norfolk is rich in history, atmosphere and scenery. It's the perfect place for bird watching, horse riding, walking, cycling and visiting historical sites or just relaxing in a traditional Norfolk pub.

Wells-next-the-Sea is an attractive small town and port. It has an excellent sandy beach together with a small sheltered and picturesque Harbour which provides ideal facilities for sailing and boating. Golfing is available at Brancaster, Hunstanton, Sheringham, Cromer and Fakenham.

Pinewoods Holiday Park. three quarters of a mile from Wells, is bounded on the north by a strip of mature pine trees, nestling beside the beautiful sandy beach with its attractive beach huts. To the east lies the entrance to Wells Harbour. To the west, miles of unspoilt beach lead from the park to Holkham Bay.

Not too far away is the seal colony at Blakeney Point with regular trips organised from nearby Morston Quay.

Pinewoods shops and other facilities

 

In summer Norfolk strawberries and crab salads find their way onto the menus. Good quality local seafood dishes are readily available, including the famous Cromer crabs and Norfolk mussels.
